Art Wood is not your typical mortgage guy…

With a passion for people and for making things happen, Art takes the mortgage process from what could be scary, overwhelming and intimidating, to a seamless and rewarding experience.
Art wants to be your mortgage guy for life, and not just the guy that worked on your mortgage. “I believe in getting to know each and every client as family, sorting through available options, and finding the right mortgage fit.”
Art loves to make people happy and he will go out of the way to make that happen. He has been in the mortgage business since 2005, and he is currently runs the Art Wood Mortgage Team in downtown Tucker, GA. Art grew up in Tucker, attended Erskine College in South Carolina, and lives in nearby Stone Mountain with his wife Karen and their two children, Trace and Makenna. He is the founder of Fuse Networking at Smoke Rise, an active member of the Tucker Business Association, and the Chairman of the Board at Smoke Rise Country Club.
Art is also very involved with the community. He has been a worship leader since 2004 combining his joy of the Lord with his passion for music. He is currently volunteering his efforts at Mountain Park United Methodist Church, where he gets to share the stage with his entire family. While not at church, Art uses his music talents as the lead singer of a 90’s cover band called Dial Up! Additionally, Art and his wife Karen are the founders/creators of the Taste of Tucker benefiting local charities. As if all of that weren’t enough, Art organizes a golf tournament every year (since 2007) in memory of his father, benefiting the Salvation Army.
And all he does is what makes Art Wood who he is: family guy, community guy, and definitely…not your typical mortgage guy.
